Khao Tom (Thai Rice Soup)

  • Thai Soup Stock or chicken broth
  • 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • Minced ground pork
  • 1 cup of stream rice
  • carrot, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • Onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 pound minced ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons Thai fish sauce
  • Boiled eggs

For garnish:   sliced scallion, deep-fried garlic and sprigs of fresh cilantro, to taste

  • Bring stock to boil in medium saucepan on medium-high heat. Add carrot, Onion and simmer 20 minutes or until meat is cooked through. Add the pork and fish sauce and simmer 5 minutes Garnish with scallion, and cilantro, deep-fried garlic, Sliced Boiled eggs
